How Grief Began My Second Act

Grief. It does not always arrive once. But it always arrives. Sometimes it comes in waves, layering loss upon loss until the life you once knew no longer fits.

That was my experience.

In my latest Sip on This podcast episode, I share how grief, family loss, identity shifts, and painful transitions became the catalyst for my Second Act. Not as a polished lesson, but as my lived experience.

This was not an easy story to tell. But I told it because I know grief changes people quietly, deeply, and often without language.

If you are moving through loss, a life transition, or a season of becoming, this conversation is for you.

Grief and Reinvention

It isn’t easy to be vulnerable, especially on camera. The episode was real, raw, and unedited. Why would I allow the mistakes, such as stating there are seven stages of grief when there are five? Because I wanted to be my authentic, unfiltered self. If I took take after take, striving for perfection, the episode wouldn’t have aired.

If I reached one person. Just one person struggling through their grief, then I have achieved my goal. This story served no other purpose than to let you know you are not alone.

Grief was the foundation of my reinvention. I can help you because I’ve lived it.
